After four years of hard litigation and fighting with our adversaries, our attorneys secured $19.5 million for a middle-aged woman who was involved in an accident with a commercial vehicle. The client suffered from a minor traumatic brain injury and had to undergo several surgeries, including spine surgery, right shoulder surgery, right knee surgery, and left thumb surgery. (New York Labor Law Section 240) – A male construction worker in New York, age 42, fell off a ladder and injured his spine in Manhattan. The injury required spinal surgery. The settlement was reached in Brooklyn just prior to trial.
Our client was involved in multiple accidents, including a severe accident that hospitalized him for more than two weeks. While some of the injuries overlapped, we were able to achieve a fair settlement in mediation.
In June of 2022, our client was sitting as a passenger in a parked car that was struck by a armored vehicle as it rolled down the sidewalk a few feet and off the curb. The driver of the armored vehicle went to the back of the truck to unload and failed to put it in park. The estimated impact was between 2-3 mph, but the weight of the vehicle caused significant injuries. The defense contested causation of injuries, however, the case went to trial and a jury was selected. Motions in limine were filed and the case settled while we were engaged in trial proceedings.

Secured a $2.2 million recovery for a client who slipped and fell on ice outside of a medical clinic. The hazardous ice accumulated due to the building’s lack of gutters. The fall severely aggravated and exacerbated the client’s pre-existing spine injuries, accelerating the need for surgery. As a result, the client underwent surgical procedures on both the cervical and lumbar spine.
