(Off camera) And what brings you to the Ronald McDonald House today?

We are here to help raise money for the children and their families, but giving them some kind of normality, some kind of peace, some kind of family love that they need to help fight and survive this illness that they never asked for, nobody asked for. It’s a terrible thing.
And so we’re super excited to be part of this organization and help give back in whatever way possible. This is a great organization. What they do for the children, their families, how they make sure that they’re able to continue taking care of them, being there with them. Coming in here for the first time and meeting everyone was a special moment. Not only did I get to get a tour of the home and see the beautiful rooms that you guys have, it’s quite remarkable. And then look at this place. I mean, it’s just awesome. The Islanders room, the Mets room, you have the Ronald McDonald playroom. I mean, what don’t you have? You have the weight room, the meditation room. You guys really thought this out very well.

You have tons of kitchen space, tons of space for families to either have meals prepared, and then also, if you want to do home-cooked meals, which gives you the option to feel that you’re at home. So, it’s really a great variety of choices when you’re here. You have a playground outside. It’s phenomenal. I mean, you could easily live here and be happy during that time that you’re spending with your child during this fight.

This organization, and specifically this location, has 280 volunteers, you know, just volunteering their time, days of their life, hours of their life, week after week after week. It just shows what the core values of this place has and and how important it is to the people that support it. And it’s just it’s remarkable. It’s not only just about advocating here as an attorney or as just a human being. We want to make sure that this continues through our children, through our generations because you can’t just give back unless you truly care. It’s not about getting anything in return. You’re doing it because it’s the right thing. You feel it inside your heart. You’re doing it because you want to do it. And we’re there to fight with people always, always, whether it’s in the courtroom or here.
