Biography
A graduate of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, Mr. Heffernan primarily focuses his practice on plaintiff’s personal injury litigation, including motor vehicle, premises liability, and New York Labor Law cases.
Prior to joining Chopra & Nocerino, Mr. Heffernan spent many years sharpening his skills at insurance defense firms representing numerous insurance carriers, construction companies, retailers, and municipalities in personal injury litigation. He has an extensive background in all aspects of litigation, including conducting depositions, discovery, arguing motions, court conferences, mediations, arbitrations, and handling of trial matters.
After working in insurance defense for almost a decade, witnessing the hardships and difficulties faced by those who are hurt, Michael came to the realization that his passion was to fight for the injured. The values and principles of Chopra & Nocerino showing their desire to relentlessly pursue every avenue to get the best possible outcome for their clients aligned perfectly with that new-found passion.
Mr. Heffernan’s prior experience in insurance defense gives him a unique insight into how each case should be approached in order to achieve the best results for injured clients.
Mr. Heffernan’s demonstrates passion and dedication to ensure all clients get proper legal representation. He is committed to aggressively advocating for each client and will stop at nothing to ensure that each case receives the appropriate attention to detail so that a maximum result can be achieved.
